We Can’t Outgive God
I have been trying to teach my daughters to give more. More of themselves. More of their money. More of their possessions. Most importantly, more of their blessings…
God is so good! Even when we are at our ugliest, He still sees us as beloved. Even when we are angry, He loves us. How often do we return His mercy, grace, and love? Each blessing we have (good health, a family, a house, a car, food, the air we breathe) is a gift from God.
How much more would those gifts mean if we shared them with others (especially those who are less fortunate than ourselves)?
Would our sharing a blessing make a difference in someones life?
Is it really a burden to share a gift?
Luke 6:38 ~ Give and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, they will pour into your lap. For whatever measure you deal out to others, it will be dealt to you in return.
This doesn’t mean to give so you will receive more blessings…it means give and the blessing you have will mean so much more. Give because it is the right and good thing to do; expecting nothing in return. Then watch your blessing bloom
