The Only Way
Jesus clearly states that He is the only way to God and Heaven (John 14:6). Other religions claim to be “a” way to heaven or God. We search every corner of the world for some magic thing to make us feel peace and joy, love and mercy. What brings you joy? Peace? I think today, most of us are so stressed we forget we are abundantly blessed. But blessed we are…
We can’t always see our blessings because our focus is on worldly things. To see our blessings and to be filled with the overwhelming feeling of complete love, we need only do one thing…
Psalm 40:4 ~ Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust, who does not look proud, to those who turn aside to false gods.
Psalm 144:15 ~ Blessed are the people of whom this is true; blessed are the people whose God is the Lord.
If we live a life pleasing to God, He will flood us with blessings. When we share those blessings with others, we are filled with joy and a complete feeling of love.
Now that we know our blessings and how to receive them, how do we find peace?
We have to have a pure heart and a clean heart. We need to live life with a pureness that children have at birth.
Psalm 51:2 ~ Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.
Matthew 5:8 ~ Blessed are the pure at heart, for they will see God.
What is the cost for this peace and the unending blessings? What is the cost to live an eternity in heaven?
Jesus paid it all. Because He paid it all, God showed us mercy.
Daniel 9:9 ~ The Lord our God is merciful and forgiving even though we have rebelled against him.
Hebrew 9:27-28 ~ Just as man is destined to die once and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.
More Scripture: Matthew 27:32-54
The only way to Heaven and spending eternity with God is through Jesus Christ. Giving our life to Jesus and accepting the free gift of salvation (through His crucifixion) is the only way to peace, joy, love and mercy.
* Will life be perfect and without pain because we follow Jesus? No.
* Will we be alone when going through those valleys? No.
