Demographics Of Happiness – Aging

Happiness is not exclusive to any one type of person. It isn’t as though only red-heads can be happy or only people who live near the ocean can find joy. Happiness is available to everyone who wants it enough to work for it.There are some demographic characteristics that can increase your chances of finding happiness.

One demographic characteristic is aging. People tend to be happier as they get older. Although many younger people are happy, research shows that that you are more likely to be happy as you grow older.

Why do we get happier as we age?

1. As we get older, we have experienced a certain amount of success and positive experiences. They feel both grateful and content. Younger people are still struggling and working hard to reach these achievements.

2. Our expectations change as we grow older. As we get older, we stop expecting everything to be perfect. We begin to understand that life is what we make it by our attitudes and choices.

3. Wisdom comes with age. We gain a perspective that comes only from worldly experience and knowledge.
