Creation – Accident, Evolution or God?

Many debates have been held over one word, Creation. What is it? How did we begin? You have probably weighed in or been a part of a discussion on Creation. God, Evolution or Accident…that is the question.

I don’t believe myself to be an expert on this subject. I am hoping that this will get you thinking about Creation and start some great discussions with your friends and family.

THREE CHOICES TO BELIEVE:

1. Accident ~ Everything just happened and we are part of the “accident”. Some people believe that there is no real beginning to life. They believe everything just is and always was. No big mystery or exciting story. They want others to believe that a tree just grows and dies. That there is no real purpose for anyone or anything. That people are just here to live, reproduce and die.

2. Evolution ~ This one wants us to believe that we “evolved” from a different specie. This is the scientific explanation to how and why we exist. They argue that we must have started out as something else and over many years (generations) became what we are today. They argue they have “proof” of this transformation.

3. God ~ The best way to explain this argument is by reading Nehemiah 9:6 ~ You alone are the Lord. You made the heavens, even the highest heaven and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them.You give life to everything and the multitudes of heaven worship you. Also read Genesis 1:1-2:7; Psalm 33:6-9.

~ Although all three can be argued, only one can be true. ~

CLOSING THOUGHTS:

~ Hebrews 11:3 ~ By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.
