Count Your Blessings

We’ve all heard the song: “Count your blessings, name them one by one. Count your blessings see what God has done…” Have you ever actually tried counting your blessings? I have. Whenever I start to feel down, I try counting my blessings. It works, I can’t be down when I have been so blessed, I also can’t count them all.

When we walk with Jesus, we are blessed. Even when the world is crumbling around us, with Jesus, we are blessed. With Jesus, we have more blessings than we deserve, yet God gives us more.

We have God’s grace, love, compassion, mercy, and everything else. God wants us to take all of him and he wants all of us. Even when we hold back, God showers us with blessings.

Were you able to get out of bed today? Did you see the blue sky? Hear the birds singing? Play with your children? Hear a baby laugh? Do you have a family? Are you in good health?  Do you have a job? A house? A car? Food?

All of these things are blessings. I’m sure you have many others. Remember to Thank God everyday for your blessings.
